Easter Bonnet

Sorry the picture is such poor quality, but that's the best I could do this morning. The flowers have wilted now, the wreath has been removed from the hat and is being used as a garnish for a dessert Intrepid Anthropologist is taking to friends.

People seemed quite surprised despite my having told them I would make and wear an Easter bonnet. I think they didn't quite believe I was serious.

Looks lovely.

At a Care Home I visited a week ago, the ladies there had all been encouraged to make themselves Easter Bonnet's - they did a really good job on them - and will be wearing them today for Luncheon with their visiting families.

Wonderful idea to give them creative things to do - using skills they have in worthwhile way.

Lovely. I was telling my daughter yesterday how I always had a new Easter bonnet each year when I was growing up. Few people do that nowadays. Glad you did/are!

Ah yes Church Hats, It says something about the person who wears them with style.

There has been a new member who wears hats to church. She wears hers with real grace and style, tilted to the back and cocked to the right. For Easter she wore her blue summer hat, a blue suit and blue pumps, very together. Make me want to try to wear hats.
